Hi Doutsies!

DOUTS are running their first club night of the year! We will be diving the nice and easy Clovelly Pool. It makes for a ripper of a night dive (and snorkelling too). Vis gets up to 30m when the tide is low (as the shelf cuts the rockpool off from the ocean).

Max depth is about 6 metres, you will see the resident blue groper, rays, large schools of small trevally, yellowtail, bream, seapike, the list goes on. It's a big rockpool, so you can't get lost, and there is something to see almost everywhere. It is ideal for the beginner night-diver, and theres plenty to see for the experienced night-diver.

Sunset is at 7.10pm (yes its getting earlier!) This means we will be diving mid tide, so the rock shelf will likely become submerged towards the end of the dive, leaving you with new parts to explore.

As we will have a little under a quarter-moon, I suggest you arrive around 6.30 to gear up before it gets dark, there is a free and gigantic carpark there, so thats not a hassle.

After the dive, there is a stunning view of Coogee, and seats along the cliffs. So when we surface and dry off, I'll order takeaway (pizza likely, but I'm open). So bring some cash for food.

For those transport challenged, I will be running the bus from UTS. Limited to ten seats, so book early! $5 a head, meet outside the front of the tower building at 5.30pm. I'll even drop you back afterwards :)  Email me if you live on-the-way.

Regular gear hire is available (BCD, Tank, Weights, Regs), first come, first serve. Unfortunately wetsuit hire will not be available, so organise that one beforehand. Also we are unable to hire out torches, so please contact me if you can't organise one and I will see what I can do!
